Jennifer Lopez Cancels Tour to Focus on Kids Amid Split Rumors

Jennifer Lopez has canceled her ‘This Is Me… Live’ summer tour to spend more time with her family and is “heartsick” over the choice, as reported in her email on Friday.

The Jennifer Lopez US Summer 2024 Tour ‘THIS IS ME…LIVE’ has been canceled, according to representatives from Live Nation. The notice states, “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends.”

“For those who purchased through Ticketmaster, tickets will be automatically returned; there is nothing else fans can do. For those who purchased through third-party resale sites like Seat Geek, StubHub, Vivid Seats, etc., please contact your place of purchase for further information.” It declares, “A Special Message to My JLovers On The JLo:

“I am extremely heartbroken and saddened over disappointing you.

“Please understand that I would not do this unless I felt it was essential. I pledge to make it up to you, and we’ll all be together again.

“I adore you all very much.

“Until next time…”

The revelation is not entirely surprising, given that the tour has been plagued by rumors of low-ticket sales and a large number of unsold tickets on booking portals.

Various media sources stated that she needed family time amid claims that her husband, Ben Affleck was divorcing; representatives for the singer declined to comment on the reports.

Despite the rumors and seating charts, sources close to Lopez stated that the tour would not be canceled owing to low ticket sales, citing excellent sales in Newark, Orlando, Miami, Chicago, Anaheim, and Toronto. However, seating maps for several additional dates revealed very poor sales.

Lopez changed her North American tour in April from “This Is Me… Now” to “This Is Me… Live | The Greatest Hits,” after canceling seven events.

Jennifer Lopez announced the tour in February, coinciding with the release of her album “This Is Me… Now” and two films featuring her reunion with Affleck. But she secretly canceled several of its dates last month in Cleveland and Nashville, most likely owing to low sales. The makeover signaled a shift from a tour centered on the current album’s tracks to one encompassing her whole past, likely to draw listeners who didn’t connect with her most recent content.
